St. Lucie Deputies Arrest Six in Crackdown on Nudity Outside Designated Beach

Deputies will keep patrolling during the Blind Creek renovation to keep nudity within posted boundaries.

Overview

  • The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office reported a surge of complaints about unauthorized nudity at the Little Mud Boat Ramp north of Blind Creek Beach.
  • On Oct. 25, six people were arrested or issued notices to appear for alleged indecent exposure about 1.1 miles outside the nude-optional zone.
  • Charges include Exposure of Sexual Organs, a misdemeanor in Florida that can carry up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
  • Deputies have increased foot and ATV patrols since early September, reinforced signage, and warned about illegal parking along A1A.
  • Court records show the defendants were released on bond, with arraignments set in November and December as renovations keep the designated beach closed.
