Prior to his time with the Red Sox, Bloom spent 15 years in the Tampa Bay Rays' baseball operations department, contributing to the team's development into a consistent contender.
The Cardinals, who had their first 90-plus loss season since 1990 in 2023, are looking to gain new perspectives and insights from Bloom's experience.
