St. Louis Blues Fire Coach Craig Berube, Appoint Drew Bannister as Interim

St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong has fired coach Craig Berube following a string of disappointing defeats, including a 6-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
Drew Bannister, who had been coaching the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League, will step in as the interim coach.
Under Berube's leadership, the Blues won the Stanley Cup in 2019, but have since struggled, currently ranking 26th in the NHL in goals per game and having the second-worst power play in the league.
Armstrong has stated that he will begin the process of looking for a permanent replacement, with no timeline set for this decision.
Brad Richards has been hired as a consultant to help improve the team's power play.
