Overview

  • The facility is operated by ST Engineering Aerospace (HuBei), a joint venture formed in 2023 between ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace unit and SF Airlines.
  • Strategically sited at Ezhou Huahu International Airport, the greenfield hub supports China’s first dedicated cargo airport and its expanding freight network.
  • Two purpose-built hangars now offer maintenance for up to four wide-body or eight narrow-body aircraft with room for four more bays as demand increases.
  • A second hangar is slated to come online in the second half of 2027 as part of a phased expansion tied to market growth.
  • About 200 staff are in place today and will be joined by trained technicians and smart-tech operations to grow headcount to roughly 700 roles.
