- February SSI will be deposited Friday, Jan. 30, because Feb. 1 lands on a Sunday.
- March SSI is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27, due to March 1 also falling on a Sunday.
- February Social Security benefits pay Feb. 3 for those on benefits before May 1997, then Feb. 11, Feb. 18, and Feb. 25 based on birth-date groups.
- Benefit checks and SSI deposits are not expected to be disrupted even if a federal funding lapse occurs.
- SSA is phasing out paper checks in favor of direct deposit and Direct Express, with about 68 million beneficiaries and roughly 390,000 still receiving paper as of September.
