Overview
- The computer-based Tier 1 will screen candidates for 14,582 Group B and C posts with objective sections in reasoning, awareness, quantitative aptitude and English.
- Tier 2 will be conducted in a single shift, and Tier 1 scoring will use a new shift‑wise normalisation formula introduced from July 2025.
- Exam centres will be allotted within 100 km of candidates’ addresses, with the commission targeting more than 90% nearby allocations.
- Responsibilities are split across four specialised agencies for centres, security, applications and content, while SSC directly oversees question‑paper design.
- Aadhaar-based authentication remains mandatory, and SSC will use upgraded monitoring, re‑audited centres and hardware standards to prevent malpractices.
