Overview
- Chairman S Gopalakrishnan confirmed that no full cancellation will occur and pledged retests for any candidate deemed to have been wronged in the July 24–August 1 exam window.
- The SSC has written to vendor Eduquity Career Technologies to address software crashes, biometric glitches and incorrect centre allotments, warning of penalties for further lapses.
- Initial retests on August 2 saw only 60 percent attendance and two centre cancellations affecting about 2,500 students, prompting the commission to analyse data for additional make-up exams.
- The commission reaffirmed its use of a basic AI system for question non-repetition and said network logs, CCTV footage and biometric checks monitored by CDAC would safeguard exam integrity.
- Preparations are underway for a less disruptive Phase 13 session from August 6 to 8, which is expected to cover approximately 350,000 candidates.
