Overview
- The Staff Selection Commission published the Tier 1 schedule on Sunday, September 13, 2026, with exams to be held from September 30 to October 30, 2026.
- Tier 1 will be a one-hour computer-based test of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 200 marks, split into four sections of 25 questions and 50 marks each.
- Each section will have a 15-minute sectional timer, incorrect answers will incur a 0.50 mark penalty, and questions will be in English and Hindi except for the English Comprehension section.
- Admit cards are expected about 10–15 days before candidates' exam dates and must be downloaded from ssc.gov.in; candidates eligible for scribes will receive extra time under SSC norms.
- The cycle is advertised for 12,256 tentative Group B and C vacancies and will be followed by Tier 2 and further stages, so candidates should monitor SSC notices for final vacancy confirmation and next-stage dates.
