SSC Releases CGL 2025 First Tentative Allocation, Sets Sliding Sessions for Mid-April

Next week’s in-person sliding sessions let qualified candidates reallocate posts on merit to fill vacancies.

Overview

  • The Staff Selection Commission, which released the first round of tentative allocation on Wednesday, posted Tier-II section cut-offs including UR 54 and 63 and OBC/EWS 45 and 52.5.
  • Only candidates who filed post preferences and cleared both Tier-II sections were evaluated for the Computer Knowledge Test and Data Entry Speed Test, which are qualifying with minimum marks of 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for others.
  • Post allotment used overall Tier-II scores, adding Paper-II for Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator while all other posts relied on Paper-I Sections I and II.
  • Sliding slot booking runs April 8–10, with in-person sessions at regional offices April 13–22 in the Northern Region and April 13–18 elsewhere, and absence removes a candidate from the final result.
  • Final answer keys are out and detailed marks will be uploaded, while 107 results are withheld and all allocations remain subject to pending Supreme Court cases.
