Overview
- The CBT that was slated to begin on February 23, 2026 has been deferred, with new dates to be announced on ssc.gov.in.
- The recruitment covers 25,487 vacancies in CAPFs, SSF and Assam Rifles, and also includes the Sepoy post in the Narcotics Control Bureau.
- The slot selection facility will not be provided for this exam, and city intimation and admit cards will follow the usual 8–10 day and 2–3 day windows.
- SSC published a tentative 2026–27 exam calendar outlining major recruitment timelines that are expected to start in March 2026.
- Candidates who qualify the written test will proceed to PET, PST, a medical examination and document verification before final appointment.
