Overview
- Disability certification is now limited to two formats—Form V for single disability and Form VI for multiple disabilities—replacing the earlier three-form system.
- For examinations notified after October 16, 2024 with recruitment still in progress, candidates may submit either the new formats or the previous certificate versions.
- The 'own scribe' facility has been restored with age caps tied to exam level, generally up to 20 years for matriculation and Class 12 exams and up to 22 years for graduate-level exams.
- Aadhaar-based authentication is mandatory for all registered own scribes, and candidates without successful on-site verification must use a Commission-provided scribe or appear without one.
- The revised forms are annexed to the official notice and SSC has directed offices to update documents across ongoing Group B and C drives, affecting exams such as CGL, MTS, JE and SI.
