SSC Opens Registration for 1,289 Delhi Police Constable and Head Constable Posts Ahead of Oct. 15 Deadline

A correction window runs October 23–25, followed by a tentative computer-based exam in December or January.

Overview

  • Online applications at ssc.gov.in cover 737 Constable (Driver) vacancies and 552 Head Constable (AWO/TPO) posts, including 370 for men and 182 for women.
  • The application fee is ₹100 with exemptions for women, SC, ST and Ex-servicemen, and online fee payment closes on October 16 at 11 pm.
  • Constable (Driver) eligibility includes 10+2 qualification, a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence by the application deadline, and knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Head Constable (AWO/TPO) eligibility requires Class 12 with Science and Mathematics or an NTC in the relevant trade, plus computer proficiency and an English word-processing speed test.
  • Age limits are 21–30 years for Constable (Driver) and 18–27 years for Head Constable as of July 1, 2025, with prescribed relaxations for reserved categories.
