SSC Opens Mandatory Option‑Cum‑Preference Window for JE Paper‑II Candidates

Online-only choices will determine post allotment by combining merit rank with submitted preferences and will exclude candidates who miss the deadline from final selection.

Overview

  • The Option‑cum‑Preference window opened on June 10 at 5:00 PM and stays active until June 14 at 11:59 PM; Paper‑II candidates must submit preferences during this period to remain eligible for final selection.
  • Candidates must submit choices through their Candidate Login on ssc.gov.in under the My Application tab and will receive a confirmation email on successful submission; SSC will not accept physical forms.
  • Preferences may be revised any number of times while the window is open, but the last submission recorded before the deadline will be treated as final.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities must select only posts designated suitable for their disability category, and applicants choosing Border Roads Organisation posts must confirm they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards.
  • After the window closes SSC will allocate posts on a merit‑cum‑preference basis and announce final results, and historically missing this administrative step has resulted in candidates being excluded from appointment even if they qualified on exam scores.
