Overview
- Online registration began on June 25, 2026, and closes at 11:00 pm on July 16, 2026, while printed applications must reach the SSC Northern Region by July 23, 2026 or by July 30, 2026 for candidates posted abroad and in remote islands.
- The drive lists 341 total vacancies with 318 for the Central Secretariat Service and 23 for the Ministry of External Affairs, and the CSS vacancies include category and PwBD allocations.
- Only eligible departmental staff may apply, requiring at least six years of approved service as of July 1, 2025 and, for MEA applicants, completion of prescribed training, with every form to be forwarded by the applicant's Head of Department or Head of Office.
- The selection will combine a Computer-Based Examination (Paper I and Paper II), tentatively scheduled for August 2026 at centres only in Delhi‑NCR, with an evaluation of APARs to prepare the final merit list.
