SSC Detects Remote Hacking Attempts During CGL Exams, Warns of Criminal Action

The commission is using real-time terminal monitoring with post-exam forensics to identify offenders.

Overview

  • Computer-based tests are running from September 12–26 across 227 venues in 129 cities, with 5,26,194 candidates tested as of September 18.
  • SSC says its digital security systems flagged remote takeovers at some candidate nodes and that such activity is under close watch.
  • Invigilators may allow a suspect session to continue to avoid disrupting others, with electronic evidence examined after the test.
  • Scores of implicated candidates will not be processed, with debarment and potential criminal cases against individuals and any complicit centres.
  • SSC has launched a website Feedback Module for CGL 2025 candidates, and about 1,100 exams have been rescheduled for clashes or other valid reasons.
