Overview
- Square announced on Sept. 24 that eligible merchants can connect locations from the Square Dashboard to Apple Business and push updates to Apple Maps, Siri and Apple Wallet.
- The tool automatically synchronizes core business details such as hours, address and phone so merchants no longer need to edit Apple listings separately.
- Sellers can add action links — Menu, Order, Pickup, Delivery, Book, or Schedule Appointment — so customers can take those actions directly from an Apple Maps place card.
- The feature is live for qualifying merchants in eight markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Ireland, Japan and Spain, and US/Canada business-verified sellers can enroll in Apple Business through Square.
- Block framed the launch as part of a wider merchant-discovery push tied to recent AI partnerships, cited Apple metrics on listing engagement, and said additional place-card analytics and peer benchmarks are planned with no release date given.
