Square Enix has shut down the iOS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered due to an unresolved bug linked to changes in the in-app purchase model.
The bug, reported on January 24, 2025, blocked players from accessing paid content, including the full version of the game and other in-app purchases.
Refunds are being offered for in-app purchases made since January 2024, with affected users directed to contact Square Enix support or Apple Support for assistance.
The game has been removed from the App Store, but it remains available on other platforms, including Android, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
This marks another instance of Square Enix discontinuing mobile game support, following similar closures in recent years.
