• Sir Paul McCartney joined Bruce Springsteen on stage at Anfield Stadium on June 7 for a duet of “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
• The pair had reunited the previous day with a visit to the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, which McCartney co-founded.
• Springsteen’s two-night stand at Anfield fulfilled a lifelong dream and included a cover of “Twist and Shout” in homage to the Beatles.
• During both shows he delivered pointed speeches denouncing President Trump’s administration as “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous.”
• The Land of Hope and Dreams tour now moves to Berlin’s Olympiastadion on June 11, with further stops in Prague, Frankfurt, San Sebastian, Gelsenkirchen and Milan.
