- SPPU, in a notification dated September 13, 2026, moved the 41st Maharashtra State Eligibility Test to October 25, 2026.
- This is the third postponement: the exam was first set for July 26, then moved to September 6 and later to September 27 before the latest change.
- The university pointed to recently released UPSC and other competitive exam timetables, travel and logistical issues around Anant Chaturdashi, and representations from candidates as reasons for the postponement.
- Candidates, examination liaison officers and related agencies have been asked to note the revised date and to watch the official SET website at setexam.unipune.ac.in for admit cards and further instructions.
