- Spotify announced on August 12 that it will roll out an 'AI Persona' badge from mid-September to mark artist profiles that are wholly generated by AI.
- The badge will appear on artist pages, in search results and next to tracks in playlists so listeners can see when a profile is machine created.
- Music from accounts flagged as AI Personas will be excluded from Spotify's personalized algorithmic recommendations and from editorial promotion, and uploaders must declare AI use when they add music.
