Overview

  • Premium individual plans will increase from €10.99 to €11.99 per month in Europe, Latin America, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • In India, Spotify has already updated its Premium pricing to ₹139 for Individual, ₹179 for Duo, ₹229 for Family and ₹69 for Student plans.
  • Affected subscribers will receive emails over the next month explaining the increase, which will automatically take effect on their September billing dates.
  • The adjustment follows a second-quarter loss driven by higher payroll-related taxes and mirrors earlier price hikes in the US aimed at improving margins.
  • Spotify is using the revenue boost to support new features and content investments, including audiobooks, expanded video offerings and external payment links in its iOS app.
