Spotify is testing a new feature that uses AI to translate podcasts into other languages while matching the speaker's voice.
The translation feature relies on OpenAI's Whisper voice cloning technology to mimic podcasters' voices.
Select episodes from Dax Shepard, Lex Fridman, Monica Padman and others have been translated to Spanish so far.
French and German translations are expected soon, with plans to expand to more creators and languages.
