Spotify Integrates TuneMyMusic to Let Users Import Playlists In-App

A new Your Library option opens a native transfer flow that copies playlists from rival services.

Overview

  • The feature is rolling out globally on mobile and appears at the bottom of Your Library as “Import your music.”
  • Selecting the option launches an in-app TuneMyMusic experience where users link accounts and choose a source platform.
  • Transfers copy playlists into Spotify without deleting them from services such as Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora and SoundCloud.
  • The embedded flow can sidestep typical third‑party track limits when moving into Spotify, unlike TuneMyMusic’s 500-track free cap on the web.
  • Spotify has not disclosed terms of its arrangement with TuneMyMusic, and reporters note the move narrows a convenience gap with Apple Music and YouTube Music.
