Overview
- The feature starts this week on mobile for Free and Premium users aged 16+ in select Latin and South American markets, with expansion to the US, Canada, Brazil, the EU, the UK, Australia and New Zealand in the coming weeks.
- Users can share content from the Now Playing share icon and continue the conversation with text and emoji, with all shared items stored in a Messages inbox accessed via the profile picture.
- Chats are limited to one-on-one conversations and can only be initiated with people you’ve previously connected with on Spotify through Jams, Blends, Collaborative Playlists or Family/Duo plans.
- Recipients must accept message requests, and users can block senders, report content or opt out of Messages entirely in settings.
