Overview

  • Sportico’s new rankings count 12 of 32 NHL franchises above $2 billion, up from just three two years ago.
  • The Maple Leafs top the list at $4.25 billion, followed by the Rangers ($3.65B), Canadiens ($3.3B), Bruins ($3.0B) and Kings ($2.96B).
  • The Capitals climbed 24% year over year to $2.3 billion, entering the $2 billion tier at No. 9.
  • The Red Wings ($2.11B), Devils ($2.06B) and Golden Knights ($2.02B) also cleared the $2 billion mark.
  • The Hurricanes are valued at $1.92 billion after a 49% jump and 10-spot rise, while the Blue Jackets rank last at $1.3 billion with the Senators ($1.34B) and Jets ($1.33B) just ahead.
