Two players cracked a secret binary code puzzle to access and complete the game's most difficult level, securing an invitation to preview Hazelight Studios' next project.

The ultra-secret 'Laser Hell' level in Hazelight Studios' co-op game Split Fiction was discovered and completed by players 'sharkOvO' and 'E1uM4y' on March 19, 2025.
Hidden behind a binary code puzzle in Chapter 6's Isolation section, 'Laser Hell' is a platforming challenge requiring expert timing and coordination.
Josef Fares, Hazelight Studios' director, congratulated the players both in-game and on social media, confirming their invitation to visit the studio in Sweden.
During their visit, the players will preview Hazelight's next game and receive additional surprises, as promised by Fares.
The discovery and completion of 'Laser Hell' have elevated Split Fiction's acclaim, bolstering its status as a frontrunner for Game of the Year.
