Spirit Airlines mistakenly put a 6-year-old boy, Casper, traveling alone on a flight to Orlando instead of his intended destination, Fort Myers, Florida.
Casper's grandmother, Maria Ramos, who was waiting to pick him up in Fort Myers, was informed that he had missed his flight. She later received a call from Casper saying he had landed in Orlando.
Spirit Airlines has apologized for the incident and stated that Casper was always under the care and supervision of a Spirit Team Member. The airline is conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
Ramos, who had to drive nearly 160 miles from Fort Myers to Orlando to pick up Casper, is demanding answers from the airline about how the mix-up occurred.
