- On July 10 at Swansea Crown Court, James Thomas was sentenced to four years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of causing a child to engage in sexual activity
- His offences took place in 2012 and 2013 when he groomed a teenager in the back room of a Morriston petrol station where he worked
- The victim reported Thomas to police in 2023 after discovering his Facebook adverts for children’s parties in which he portrayed Spider-Man
- Swansea Bay University Health Board has stated there is no record of Thomas ever visiting a children’s hospital ward as he claimed
- Thomas must register as a sex offender for life and has apologised to the victim in Facebook messages disclosed to WalesOnline
