Speeding Mercedes Kills 4 Labourers and Injures 2 in Dehradun Hit-and-Run

A silver Mercedes with a Chandigarh registration struck and killed four labourers and injured two scooter riders near Sai Temple on Rajpur Road in Dehradun on Wednesday evening.
The victims included Mansharam (30) and Ranjit (35), both from Ayodhya, while the two injured survivors are being treated for leg injuries at a local hospital.
Eyewitnesses reported the car was traveling at a dangerously high speed before the driver lost control and hit the pedestrians and scooter riders.
The driver, along with suspected passengers, fled the scene, and police are using CCTV footage to identify and locate the individuals involved.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns around reckless driving in Dehradun, with over 1,000 road accidents reported yearly, prompting local authorities to implement a Road Safety Policy to reduce such incidents.
