Spectrum Launches Streaming App Store, Sets Live Lakers Games for Apple Vision Pro

Charter touts a simpler way to manage streaming subscriptions with up to $125 in monthly value.

Overview

  • Spectrum’s new App Store is live on the MySpectrum app and Spectrum.net, enabling customers to authenticate, purchase and upgrade streaming services in one place.
  • Supported apps for activation and upgrades include the Disney+-Hulu bundle, ESPN Unlimited, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Paramount+ Essential, Peacock Premium with Ads, AMC+ with Ads, ViX Premium with Ads, Tennis Channel and Fox One, with Discovery+ (ads) and BET+ coming later.
  • Non-video internet customers can subscribe through the store, and users may pay to move to commercial-free or premium tiers of supported services.
  • Spectrum will deliver a selection of live Los Angeles Lakers games in the 2025–26 season in Apple Vision Pro’s immersive format for authenticated Spectrum SportsNet subscribers and Spectrum Internet customers in the Lakers’ territory, with streams up to 150 Mbps and on-demand replays and highlights via the Spectrum SportsNet app and the NBA App.
  • Customers will be able to activate and buy streaming apps directly via the Xumo Stream Box starting in 2026, with the announcements unveiled at a New York City event featuring Chris Winfrey, Kristin Dolan and Jimmy Pitaro.
