Spectrum Launches App Store, Sets Live Lakers Streams for Apple Vision Pro

The rollout builds on Charter’s 2023 Disney deal to simplify streaming access for Spectrum customers.

Overview

  • The new Spectrum App Store on the MySpectrum app and Spectrum.net lets customers authenticate, manage, and upgrade multiple streaming subscriptions in one place.
  • Available services include the Disney+-Hulu bundle, ESPN Unlimited, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Paramount+ Essential, Peacock Premium with Ads, AMC+ with Ads, ViX Premium with Ads, Tennis Channel, and FOX One, with Discovery+ and BET+ coming later.
  • Xumo discovery features begin rolling out this month to show where games are airing across linear channels, regional sports networks, broadcast stations, or apps, with in-device activation and purchases on Xumo Stream Box slated for 2026.
  • Select Los Angeles Lakers games in the 2025–26 season will stream live in Apple Vision Pro at up to 150 Mbps for authenticated Spectrum SportsNet subscribers and Spectrum Internet customers in the Lakers market, with replays and highlights available more broadly via the Spectrum SportsNet and NBA apps.
  • Charter is pitching the effort as “Seamless Entertainment,” citing up to $125 per month in included streaming value, and is promoting it with a Tracy MorganJohn Starks “Where’s My Knicks Game?” ad to boost awareness.
