SPD Campaign Worker Assaulted by Masked Men in Kaiserslautern

A 23-year-old SPD campaign worker was attacked by three masked men while distributing flyers in the Einsiedlerhof district of Kaiserslautern on Monday afternoon.
The perpetrators pushed the victim against a wall, but he managed to escape into a nearby apartment building and call the police; he was unharmed.
The attackers, described as approximately 1.80 meters tall with dark hair and dressed in dark clothing, remain unidentified as police investigate the case as attempted bodily harm and threats.
SPD leaders, including state chair Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler and local officials, strongly condemned the attack and emphasized their commitment to continuing their campaign efforts despite the incident.
In response to the attack, the SPD has reinforced safety guidelines for campaign workers, urging them to avoid working alone when distributing materials.
