• From July 1, Sparkassen customers who register through S-Vorteilswelt can collect Payback points directly with their Girocard at regional partner shops.
• Activation requires a single setup via online banking or the Sparkassen app and removes the need for an extra loyalty card or separate app.
• Only customers’ Payback number and transaction date are shared with Payback, while all other payment and personal data remain confidential.
• The loyalty feature is deeply embedded in merchants’ point-of-sale systems to apply rewards seamlessly during transactions.
• Major partners such as Aral, dm and Edeka are set to join this autumn, extending the programme to around 12,000 stores nationwide despite consumer privacy concerns.
