- Criminals are spoofing bank calls, claiming to fix PayPal debits and pushing victims to “cancel” transactions by providing TANs that actually authorize transfers to the scammers.
- The Sparkassen-Computer-Notfallteam advises never sharing PINs, TANs or passwords and not approving chipTAN or pushTAN requests made by callers.
- If data was disclosed or a release was approved, customers should immediately block online banking via 116116 or by three incorrect PIN entries and then contact their branch for a possible transfer recall.
