Overview

  • Five ports in the Ría de ArousaO Grove, Carril, Rianxo, Cabo de Cruz and Aguiño—will launch simultaneous maritime processions on July 16 with dozens of vessels operating under strict safety and rescue protocols.
  • Marín has opened a 5,000 m² parking area at the port and increased overnight bus frequency between Pontevedra and Marín for its July 11–16 Festas do Carme.
  • Vilagarcía will present the second modern edition of its Fiestas del Carmen on July 15–16, offering free theatre, choral music and a musical show in the urban centre.
  • Gijón’s Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora del Carmen will expand its land-and-sea procession on July 15 with a longer street route, new twelve-bearer andas and performances by bagpipes and choir.
  • Almuñécar’s Barrio de Los Marinos will stage five days of cultural and musical events from July 12 to 16 supported by over €45,000 in municipal funding.
