Overview
- On August 6, officers rescued seven women from a private brothel in Torre Pacheco where they were held in abusive, restrictive conditions.
- Four of the rescued women were in irregular immigration situations and have since been assisted by the NGO Apramp.
- Authorities confiscated over €9,000 in cash, numerous electronic devices, synthetic substances under fiscal control and anabolic drugs at the scene.
- A primary suspect has been remanded to provisional pretrial detention on charges including facilitating illegal immigration, prostitution offences, labour rights violations and public health crimes.
- National Police continue investigative operations to locate and support additional victims of the trafficking network.
