Overview

  • Mancomunidad Integral de Municipios Guadiana will host two educational activities—Mural por la diversidad and Huellas con orgullo—at summer camps across its localities to teach children respect, acceptance and tolerance.
  • The initiative includes a schedule of events in Valdetorres, El Torviscal, Vivares, Guareña, Gargáligas, Yelbes and other towns between June 26 and July 4, plus online recommendations of LGTBI-themed books and films.
  • Burjassot’s town council approved a Pride Day motion with support from PSPV-PSOE, PP, Compromís and unaffiliated councilors following dissenting votes from Vox, calling for policies to combat institutional inequality.
  • Paterna launched a Punto Arcoíris information point at the local market, organised Desayuno Arcoíris gatherings and held diversity workshops and library features under the theme “Rompiendo mitos.”
  • These events mark the 20th anniversary of Spain’s same-sex marriage law and reflect a commitment to continue LGTBI inclusion efforts beyond the June 28 celebration.
