Spanish Monk Killed in Violent Attack by Man Claiming to Be Jesus

A man with mental health issues attacked monks in a Spanish monastery, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.

The attack occurred at the Santo Espiritu del Monte monastery near Valencia during breakfast on Saturday morning.
The assailant, a 46-year-old Spanish man, reportedly suffers from mental health issues and drug addiction.
While attacking, the man claimed to be Jesus Christ and used sticks and a bottle as weapons.
One monk, aged 76, succumbed to his injuries on Monday, while two others were injured in the incident.
The attacker fled the scene but was later apprehended and is scheduled to appear before a judge.
