  • The DGT forecast about six million road movements from June 27 to July 1 as Spain’s first summer traffic operation commenced.

  • A 30-year-old motorcyclist remains in critical condition after a high-impact crash on the N-630 at Aljucén, with a cerebral hemorrhage and coma reported.
  • Emergency teams from 112 services, Guardia Civil, Ertzaintza and local police are stretched across Andalusia, Extremadura, Madrid and the Basque Country as they conduct rescues, medical evacuations and crash investigations.
  • Crashes on secondary roads and near speed-limit zones have renewed calls for infrastructure upgrades and stricter speed controls to improve rural road safety.
