Overview
- The parade begins at 11:00 and runs from the Atocha roundabout along Paseo del Prado and Paseo de Recoletos to Plaza de Colón, with major road closures from around 7:30 to 14:00 and additional restrictions until 15:00.
- Official figures list 3,847 participants, 74 aircraft, 162 vehicles, 229 horses and six dogs across the Armed Forces, Guardia Civil, National Police and other institutions.
- Formation Mirlo will replace Patrulla Águila in the aerial finale, using Pilatus PC‑21s to draw tricolour smoke for the first time in the flypast.
- PAPEA will open with a parachute flag jump by Sgt. Óscar Marsal Hernández and Sgt. José Carlos González Herrera carrying a 24 m², 15‑kg national banner.
- The UME’s 20th anniversary will be marked by two foot battalions, and the Royal Household has invited mayors from DANA‑affected towns as a gesture of recognition.
