Spain’s Medicines Agency Warns Diabetics of Dexcom One+ App Glitch

Since June 12, version 1.2 of Dexcom One+ iOS has ceased updating glucose readings, prompting Spanish health authorities to urge an immediate upgrade.

  • Users report that since June 12 the app’s trend graphs have frozen or disappeared, raising risks of undetected glucose excursions and potential misinformed treatment decisions.
  • The AEMPS advises all Dexcom One+ iOS users to look for an in-app notification, verify they are not on version 1.2 and download the latest release from the Apple App Store.
  • Dexcom One+ iOS is part of a continuous glucose monitoring system approved for users over age two, including pregnant women, and intended to replace capillary blood glucose tests.
