Overview

• Spain has received 876,321 applications and approved about 240,000 nationalities under the 2022 Law of Memoria Democrática, according to minister Ángel Víctor Torres.

• Argentina leads the process, accounting for more than 40% of all filings and 366,579 submissions in the first half of 2025 alone.
• The Spanish consulate in Rosario reports over 87,000 dossiers and has expanded appointments to take last‑minute submissions, pledging to receive complete files through the deadline.
