Overview

• The Ministry of Transport approved €329.3 million in direct aid for regions and 133 local entities that cut multi-ride fares by at least 50% in the first half of 2025.
• Andalusia, its eight provincial capitals and 12 additional municipalities including Algeciras, Marbella and Jerez de la Frontera are among the confirmed beneficiaries.
• Under the decree, central subsidies cover up to 30% of applied discounts, while autonomous communities and localities must assume a minimum 20% of the costs.
• First-half measures and under-15 gratuity helped Andalusia’s metropolitan networks record 68.86 million riders and spurred a 162% jump in Tarjeta Joven applications in July.
