Overview

  • From July 1, all public collective transport in Spain will be free for minors under 15.
  • A single Cercanías monthly ticket covering every zone will cost €20, while passengers aged 15–26 will pay €10.
  • Medium-distance trains will apply a 40% discount and Avant services will continue at 50% off until the end of 2025.
  • Young people aged 15–26 receive half-price medium-distance rail and 70% off selected intercity bus services.
  • Regional and local authorities will match state funding to deliver the €355 million scheme and offer 50% cuts on urban bike-share passes.
