- The Justice Ministry, which on Monday set out the regional split, opened the Royal Decree process to formally create 200 prosecutor posts.

- Murcia sees the largest proportional rise with seven prosecutors, a 9.72% increase in its staff.
- The expansion lifts the national prosecutor workforce from 2,804 to 3,004 and carries a first‑year cost of €22.5 million.
- Central bodies gain 18 posts and regional adds include Valencia with 20, the Canary Islands with 8, Castilla‑La Mancha with 8, and Castilla y León and Galicia with 7 each.
