Overview

• AEMET has activated a yellow heat alert for all of Extremadura on July 15 and will raise the level to orange in Vegas del Guadiana on July 16 with maximums up to 41 °C.
• Sixteen provinces across southern and central Spain are under heat warnings, including orange alerts in Córdoba, Jaén and Sevilla, driven by a North African anticyclonic ridge.
• Official forecasts call for a 3–4 °C decline in maximum temperatures starting Thursday and further cooling to around 32 °C by Friday.
• Galicia municipalities will experience clear skies, zero chance of rain and daytime highs between 28 °C and 34 °C on July 15.
• Argentina’s SMN has issued yellow and orange storm alerts for Buenos Aires, the AMBA and central regions from July 15–16 with heavy rain, hail, gusts up to 60 km/h and a sharp temperature drop.
