Spain Finalizes €212 Million CAP Package for Wine Sector and Animal and Plant Health

Autonomous communities will receive their first tranche in early 2026 under the two-year rollout

  • The Conference Sectorial approved a territorial distribution of just over €212 million for 2026–2027 to support viticulture and agricultural health measures.
  • More than €195 million is earmarked for CAP viticultural interventions, including €105.9 million for vineyard restructuring and €89.2 million for processing and marketing infrastructure.
  • Tranche scheduling allocates €73.8 million for vineyard restructuring and €67.5 million for infrastructure in 2026, with a further €53.7 million slated for 2027.
  • Health provisions set aside €8.93 million for plant pest control programs and €8.19 million for state animal disease eradication, covering mandatory culling indemnities.
  • Regions such as Castilla-La Mancha (€76.5 million) and Murcia (€3.2 million) have been notified to start disbursing funds and approve new aid applications.
