Spain and Argentina Used-Car Markets Post Strong July Growth on Fresh Demand

Easier credit has concentrated used-car rebounds in select Spanish autonomous communities, with Argentina’s interior provinces outpacing coastal markets.

  • Electrified models in Spain surged by over 35% in July but remained a marginal 2.7% of the used-car market.
  • Argentina logged 179,363 used-vehicle transfers in July, a 25.3% jump from June that pushed year-to-date sales to 1.10 million.
  • Provinces such as Formosa, Neuquén and La Rioja led Argentina’s rebound, and Mendoza dealers reported record monthly activity on the back of new credit lines and favorable dollar returns.
