Overview

  • On June 24 the Council of Ministers approved the 32 million euro distribution under Component 4 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan for ecosystem conservation and biodiversity restoration.
  • Murcia has been earmarked 8.2 million euros, Castilla-La Mancha 3.2 million euros and Galicia 2.4 million euros to address declining forest masses and desertification risk.
  • Funded actions include silvicultural treatments, habitat enhancement, replanting of native species, prevention of pests and diseases, management of combustible vegetation and conditioning of forest tracks.
