Overview

  • Harbour Masters released SpaghettiKart on June 22 as the first non-N64 availability of Mario Kart 64 after 30 years
  • The PC build unlocks higher frame rates, antialiasing, full level-of-detail settings, ultrawide displays and 4K resolution
  • Customization options include importing user-created tracks, adjusting camera controls and increasing CPU difficulty
  • Built through clean-room reverse-engineering without using original assets, the project shields itself by requiring players to supply their own ROM files
  • Despite being fully playable, the work-in-progress port may experience rare crashes for a small minority of users
